| I went to a draper last year after having an air reel and am disappointed, always have beans on the sickle & think have more loss from head, but have not regretted the capacity of the draper. That being said I always ran the reel all the way back & as far as height depended on the soybean plants height or if they were leaning into or away from header. I always tried to keep the blast of air on the sickle but with changing the height of the reel that always changed. I wish Crary had engineered a cam system to always keep the same setting regardless of reel height. Another thing which was probably unnessesary I was always wanting to add a laser pointer to the air tube in front of you just to see exactly where it was blasting. | |
