| Even though production was down this week.. we narrowed the gap vs last year down 6.6%. Gasoline usage and ethanol blended are both down about 9.6% and 9.2%. Implied exports are down so total disappearance EARLY in this new year are down about 10%.. so.. still kind of struggling with the economy.. but.. stabilized with plants running around 79% of capacity gearing up for harvest.
Could be better.. Could be worse.
Ethanol prices weakened at Houston this week while BTX alternatives for Octane firmed.
