Sounds like his biggest fear is a major medical bill. It needs to be yours as well. I have heard of farm land being auctioned off to the highest bidder to pay for nursing home bills. When that happens the kids either do not end up with the land or they pay a premium. It isn't what a parent wants to have happen.
