| And that’s the problem. Racism does happen. Very few will deny it. It is wrong. Very few will deny that. The problem is that some are so focused on racism and prejudice that they tell a story to support their narrow focused belief and exclude all of the other information that is extremely relevant to the chain of events that happened. What that effectively does is dilute people’s concern when actual racism happens. Kind of like “The boy who cries wolf” story. Eventually people stop listening and when it really happens no one believes it.
There’s a few here that would be extremely surprised at how many of us, who those few likely consider to be racist, are actually very against racism. The difference is some of us see the rest of the story. | |
