You are ahead already with the sump pit, likely all you need is a solid cover with the 3 or 4" pvc port, run that outside and attach a fan to it.
I don't have one, so I chiselled a hole in my basement, near the center of the house (in corner of utility room) There was gravel right under the cement, so I didn't need to over escavate and backfill with more. Put the PVC in, and run it up and across the ceiling , then out the side of the house about 4'. I came out under a deck, so that gave me a place to attach the fan, and exhaust without worrying about weather so much. I'm over 10' from the nearest window. Made sure to have a bit of slope for any condensation. Radon fan from Menards. Pulling a vacuum now, and the meter never reads over .4 that I bought after doing the charcoal tests.
Edit - I was in the mid - high single digits before. - never over 1 now.
