billw - A friend makes persimmon cookies. They look about as unpalatable as ripe persimmons. When our son was born my wife was in the\ hospital a few days. One of the girls was supposed to bring treats to school (this was a LONG time ago) so we got some pulp out of the freezer and made persimmon cookies. Only we called them doggie dropping cookies. That's kind of how they appear. I think maybe our recipe is just a little dry. You just push the dough off a spoon onto a cookie sheet and they kind of retain that peaked dropped look. These look much more like cookies than ours didIt was huge hit in class. Her mom was horrified.
