Nope. They have the figures and they can use spin them to fit their agenda. Like the statement that the bottom 80% of farms only received 23% of the money. Sets off an alarm for their audience. But those two figures aren’t related. Acreage wise, the bottom 80% probably doesn’t have much more than 23% of the total, maybe a little more.
According to the USDA, the biggest 10% of farms have 79% of production.
According to the EWG figures cited in the article, the biggest 10% of farms received 58% of payments.
So the smallest 90% have 21% of production and received 42% of payments.
Not so much in favor of the larger farms.

The USDA figures are from the 2017 ag survey, so it's a bit dated, but I doubt that it's THAT much different.
