Subject: RE: what makes good fire wood

Greencastle, Pa.
If walnut is real dry, I mean "real" dry it will burn decent. Even at that one will need more air for it to burn good, some of us know that ,others don't. Some woods are more fire resistant then others and walnut is one of them. It is also one of those trees that "excrete" a natural Herbicide through it's roots to keep other trees or plants from competing with it. The adv. person that uses fire wood doe's not know how most woods burn so you don't want to sell them a wood that won't burn well-----not a good way to keep a customer.
