Illinois

Dads combining 113 day, DKC 63-91, it’s 16.5%. His home place, the best producer we cover. Should make 220 dry. I know this isn’t Illinois, but we’ve been hammering corn as our beans are not quite ready.... totals so far
10acres COC 155
68acres COC 166
70acres COC 176
60acres old alfalfa 202
45acres old alfalfa 218
76acres PP 199
99acres PP 216
30 acres oats 202
126 acres PP cover crops oats or sorghum/silage 177
46 acres PP 176
75 acres soybeans 182
126 acres PP Sudan/Millet silage. 184
About 1/4 done with corn.

Was hauling corn yesterday DKC 54-65 planted 5-1 it tested 12.8% and 59.8 test weight....right out of the field. Our crop flat out died. Yields have been consistently 10-30 under adjusted APH. Yields would have been unreal if would have rained the last 75 days.....thankful for what we do have.

It’s so darn dry here that the soil is like flour. Found a 4’ crack while doing earlage.....we stripped a button weed down to the stem. Zero tillage will take place until we get a soaker. I’m very concerned about our moisture situation going into 2021!

It takes a while to get that dry. But it doesn't take long to get to wet
