East Central Nebraska | I used to be famous for metal in the eye as I was a cheap skate to buy a good pair of glasses, but really learned my lesson also a few years ago. I got a metal sliver in my eye and went to the ER. An elderly doctor was on call. He was a good doc and had him a few other times for stuff and glad he was on call. Well, he puts some crap in my eye and some dye and spots it. He goes in after it. He tells me to quit moving around. I swear I didn't move a muscle. His hands were shaking like he needed a stiff drink. Literally scared the hell out of me. Safety glasses on ever since. That one hurt for a while too. Afterwards I told the nurse I was not moving, his hands were shaking. She laughed and said I am not saying anything. | |
