| We have a layer barn and use our litter on pasture and hay. I will spread a few tons on some new hayfields because it is too wet to sell and I need to build those souls up. The moisture can vary depending on what stage of lay the birds are in. My birds are almost peaking but still growing. They are pouring the protein to them and the manure is looser right now. Ideally, I like to spread a ton and a half after every cutting. I like to treat it like Urea, you want to spread right before a rain to work the nitrogen in. | |
