coast of Maine | Used it for decades, when we quit chickens we actually paid for it to be hauled in,no longer easy to get,one co has the contract and you usually get a less quality product as far as nutrients,we always applied in the spring/summer to keep from wasting the value. There is a factor of wet ness that adds to transport and app costs. No bedding in caged layer poop.I could grow crops in a gravel road with it here,,,days are gone in coastal Maine, one time maine was a top chicken ?egg producer.Politics ran all the ag/gov money plum to heck out of maine in the 70 s.They built the last houses herein 77/78 time frame, all the buildings were then being built in your area.Side discharge spreader like a kuhn /knight slick with slick poop.I used to haul to stock pile in less busy times,if you lost any on the road the cops would be called, friggers that lived in nearby town....hope they choked on their chicken bones | |
