| I agree with you on mixing it up so a person can't really stack the deck (well maybe they can) to get a huge windfall. What I don't care for is the arbitrary dates and the large discrepancies in payments (cattle) that do not accurately reflect impacts felt as a result of the 'rona. I get the idea of making the program easy to administer for FSA and farmers to complete, but this will make large winners and losers. I am feeling even more embarrassed and shame that I need to rely on these programs to 'keep up with the Jones'. The wife asked me if I've made any money farming the last year and I said yes with government payments figured in, without them probably not. | |
