| Something nobody talks about- and I'm just going to make up simple random numbers to prove the point: Let's say land would be worth $4,000 per acre in a true free-market environment, but because of guberment policies and subsidies propping up values it is actually selling for $5,000 per acre. it means that the prospective beginning farmer who would like to purchase his first 80 acres will have to generate an additional $80,000 of AFTER tax monies from somewhere. |
