Subject: RE: Jake's Wire Tighteners

1 hour east of ol cheyenne
Bordering neighbor used to use them had for years. They twist the wire too sharply wire always breaks right where they are. They are a joke and expensive. Learn to run a stretcher. These things are for a lazy person who wants more work for themselves later on especially on older wire.

We do not keep the wires banjo string tight here as the wire is a spark delivery device. Went to electric fences and now have very few cattle out vs dead fences. When you have banjo wires here the antelope will break the lower wires going under and the deer going over if they don't quite make it break the top wires. With a little sag those problems are eliminated. Snow drifts will screw you either way.
Save your money and put it towards a REAL fence charger.
