Big Sky Country
A little $$ perspective re exploring on public lands.

A " lode" claim is 600 x1500', a "placer" you can wander around with boundaries, like creek bed, still same size.

About 22 Acres, will cost you right at 180$ per claim per yr. if you got ten or less you can do the assessment instead of paying, our deal was putting them togethor on spec, mostly u3 o8 and turning them, keeping royalty--so vague on some details.

F.s. Is worse than blk to deal with-- drilling you can disturb so many sq feet per claim-- and they counted the tire tracks.

Put in a side hill road which would have be n good resource for fires, had to walk excavator down it when done and restore it.

The Blm we worked in nev was maybe costing rancher about twenty cents an acre.

We got along great with ranchers--- but had no choice but to plug holes even if they had water.

Sedimentary drilling, an IR tc3, we could cut 1,000 ' of 4" in a shift. Reverse circ, snow bank drilling
