Alberta Canada | I had a field that was considered poor yielding marginal ground.
I applied 300lbs of k (500lbs 0-0-60) and 200lbs of p, it yielded 57 bu over county average. After that I treated like normal.
It was a smaller field, so there was no cash flow issues with fixing the fertility in one year. If it is a lot of acres, it may be necessary to spread the investment over several years.
Life is too short to grow poor yielding crops. | |
