The USA has the most expensive drugs in the world and no universal health care system.
In most cases the Federal government bankrolled a great portion of the research costs for the drugs ,
Next, drug companies sometimes spend more on advertisement then they do on research. Their next big expense is buying Congressman and Senators.
Finally, the drug companies have gotten rich on our the opioid crisis that is killing thousand of people every year.
Health care costs are one of the main reason individuals file for bankruptcy.
We can do better.

Not sure you're right with the funding there The government funds some some of the cancer societies fund some although a lot of them are pretty much scam with spending the majority of their funds fundraising rather than dispersing funds sure is tough to know where to do donations there if you want to and there really is no transparency in the matter industry claims are that most of their funding is from themselves or private sources.
Kind of like getting a farmer to admit that this last year the majority of his income is going to be from direct and indirect government payments or subsidies.
Kind of like me also thinking that the last time I had chemo it was funded by my insurance so I guess I felt that I paid for it but now it's being funded by Medicare. Guess that makes me a major welfare recipient.
Once again why did the one I quoted turn red on my reply and not on the others reply to my post.
