Subject: RE: Old grain bins New life??

The last thing I would go set in is a dusty , mouse dirty grain bin.
We had two of them previously mostly used for soybean storage. I put liner over the floor air holes and used it for soy hulls. Never scooped out the cone just bought more to keep half full. Could always buy a truck or two loads if price was right. Fast feeder wagon fill with 8” unload.
I never minded grinding hog or calf feed out of one for corn. Lots of bulk feed uses for them too.
I always thought ours had quite a bit of aluminum in the rings so might check that if your scrapping it. Some scrap yards can separate different materials.
I would put a walk in door and use for storage
