SW Minnesota | I don't care what argument someone uses to try to convince me knee braces aren't necessary, I put them in all the pole buildings I have erected on my watch. All of the pole-type buildings on our place have them and are still standing, including a 40' x 108' with 12' sidewalls that was built in the 1940`s before pole buildings with truss rafters became a common building practice. The truss rafters have upper and lower chords made of 3 - 2x6's BOLTED together!
The latest building I put up was about a year ago with 19' sidewalls.
