farmerkj - 9/17/2020 21:50 It almost seems like its gone from if you get it to when your gonna get it.
IF the thing is half as contagious as they say it is, it was ALWAYS just a matter of when you're going to get it, not if.
Once the toothpaste is out of the tube, you can't put it back in.
IF, it's as contagious as they claim, AND, immunities may not last as long as other coronaviruses, THEN the best solution is to open up the gates and let it rip, up to the point of hospital/ICU capacity, and get everybody immunized quick, which we are a long, long ways from. Then the virus dies off for lack of susceptible hosts. This slow, drip by drip business we are doing now is the worst path to take.
It reminds me of the scene in Band of Brothers, where Dike is supposed to lead the attack into a small town, and orders the men to slow down, and then to retreat. They were getting picked off one by one. Speirs gets sent in, directs them to do a fast and hard assault. It takes guts to charge the enemy, but that's how you win battles.
Fauci, Birx, Redfield, etc. would do well to learn from this.
