Looking into this, it's not the first time they needed money...just looking online of old articles, there's something like 10 million + that has went into this course...

) and the course has undergone some crazy changes. Yes, it being a municipal course makes it tough for it to make money, but also because we went from a 9 hole course to an 18 hole course and did it during an oil boom, it was expensive. That said, the total cost associated with the course was “only” six million. Inflated figures get used because of numerous other developments that have happened in the past 8 years or so.
On top of it all, we had major companies
(and smaller ones
) pledge donations to help with the course for 2020. But with the economic downturn in the latch, nearly everyone one of them has had to back out for the time being. This has put a crunch on things for sure!!
