Subject: Soybean Population

NC South Dakota
Have some terrible ground, Beach sand.
Very drought prone,
Lowering Pop's on corn in the worst spots has REALLY paid well.
Last time I planted beans on this field was '18, ugly drought.
I had CHS make me an VR RX, they increased the population in the worst spots "so beans would grow taller and could get them in the combine"
Now I only have 1 year of data, but they were complete junk.
Looking at my beans this year I almost think I should drop 30k for population on poor dirt.
Amazing how well they were filling pods where i have skips up until the frost, and where i have a perfect stand (140K) they have been dead for weeks from the drought.....
Am I out of my mind?
