Extreme SE Nebraska | Looks Great! I used to raise milo. Last few crops had the top half of the head picked clean by the starlings or blackbirds that migrated through. We are talking 40 - 80 acre fields with 60% damage. Every day was noticeably less red and more black. Very little raised around here anymore so the few fields are hit hard. Very Disheartening to watch the head turn black from eaten berries. Wonder if there is a way to keep birds from destroying the field? My cows would do great on the stalks though. Eat them to the ground. | |
