I had EzPass in NY and now have NC’s Fast Pass. They hold $20 as an account balance, when that gets to $10 or so they hit your CC and replenish to $20. Tolls are less than cash. It is painless. The FastPass is good from FL to Maine and west to Illinois (except for SC). There’s only two toll roads in NC but we have the FastPass for our NY New England visits.
