Our son moved to the South Bend (Granger) area of Indiana this summer and we are heading out there sometime in the next couple of weeks and are wondering about the best way to handle the toll roads. When we traveled east of Iowa in the past, we just drove through the cash lanes and paid that way. I was thinking that I read with Covid the cash lanes may be shut down and you pay later by looking up your license plate image/number. As we are thinking we will be heading out that way several times per year or more, that either an EZ Pass or IPass transponder may be the way to go. Does it make any difference which one we would go with? We may be driving several different vehicles depending on the time of year and what we are taking out there , so can we move the transponder from vehicle to vehicle? Besides the prepayed tolls, what does an EZPass or IPass cost?
