Subject: RE: Navy work uniform circa 1970.

Coldwater, Michigan
I wore most of mine out over the years. I was still wearing them out sometime after I got married a few years later. There might still be some in the seabag. More likely Marine Greens that I never shortened or pegged. I was a Navy Seabee that seldom worn Blue Dungarees. I didn't mind the Dungarees, just wore the Greens most of the time as part of the Seabee Uniform. The Marine Green hats usually had the Marine emblem on them when issued. We used lighter fluid to remove the Emblem then wore a metal Black Navy "Crow" in place of it. Most of the time we Pegged and bloused the Green pants, and put the Seabee emblem on the pocket of the shirt.

(1970 era)
