Differences in leaf color/soybean maturity across different varieties will be a difficult comparison even if the published maturities are similar. If they were the same variety you might be able to make some comparisons but in this case there are different growth patterns, drought tolerance, disease tolerance etc. that can cause them to look different. If the two varieties are from different seed companies the maturity rating system can vary enough to change the visual appearance.

How far apart are the two fields?
