Something like half of the world population is in SE Asia, small land area, high density.  Relatively low income per capita outside of Japan and a few other spots.  Low government and private resources for public works projects like sanitation/waste treatment for large populations of folks outside of urban centers.  Low education availability due to the same lack of resources.  Dirty air, dirty water, little environmental regulation, coal power is better than no power.  Etc etc.

Face it guys, if you were born here you are in the top 10% that was such a big deal two elections ago.  Most of you that have been around for 5+ decades are in the top 1% globally for wealth. 



We take much for granted.
