Southern MN | Had a 13” rain event in sept 7-8 years ago. Only had 1 farm that was in the worst of it but it had a large hole. I wish I had taken a picture of it because after the first 40 acres were off you could see the high water line across the field. Started by the road with about 6” covered and as you went towards the middle of the farm the water line kept getting higher until it covered the tassels. We just had a corn field in that area the guys that had soybeans said the dirty plants pretty well wore out a combine in one year. At least our water wasn’t moving, at least after it stopped running across the road and culvert from the neighbors. | |
