I have only baled prairie hay, corn stalks? and alfalfa. I now have a bunch of oats laying, the stems are still very wet and most leaves are getting dry while a few leaves are still rubbery wet so I know it’s not ready yet. I was wondering though how do you know when the stems are dry enough and what moisture do you guys bale oats? They’ll be netwrapped in big rounds and will most likely be sold.
