If you were still utilizing different varieties across the 6 rows of corn, but only tried one population across all 6 corn rows, what do you think the ideal pop. would be?

That makes zero sense to me. Why do it at all?

Was just wondering what the potential of 40K across all 6 rows, with shorter outside and taller varieties inner rows, with all the varieties high pop. types could do, and maybe 40K is too low, IDK. Like Deaner mentioned, lower tech on planter, and same with operator, lol.

It would still result in a yield increase. Deaner saw some of mine. Even without a population change there is kernel and ear flex potential. And some hybrids wouldn't need pushed extremely high on the edges with good flex to achieve bigger kernels or multiple ears. The big thing is figuring out what you can yield and making sure you feed the extra potential.
