Awesome stuff. Really glad the J. beetles didn't bother you much. Really think their pops. are significantly lower now here vs. what they were 10 years ago or so. Disease? Natural predators?
If you were still utilizing different varieties across the 6 rows of corn, but only tried one population across all 6 corn rows, what do you think the ideal pop. would be?


I have a few spots that are one population across the rows. Sadly it not in any of the early corn. All areas I had to replant. I think there would still be a yield bump. Not sure to what extent. And the Japanese beetles are still an issue. Just came in late. It's why I wanted to utilize some different pollination times. So many ways a person could change variables. Thanks for your posts and inputs. Starting later in the game I get to learn and implement so many things others have already tried and proven. I always look forward to your comments.
