If those yields come to fruition, maybe its time to rethink how we farm...and get down to 2 rows of corn 2 rows of beans or some such arrangement, assuming bean yields are consistent. Dual combine able to thresh two crops simultaneously? Two combine passes?

This mirrors some fun conversations I have with another agtalk user. In my research I rarely find that we have reached the potential of today's hybrids and varieties. But we have in our current system. One few will ever stray from. Hard to beat a drum about yields few listen. But bang the acre drum and let the measuring begin.

If I could just find a snap or dry bean harvester to fit here! Hand picked enough for home use as snaps, but plenty of dry beans remain.

Squash harvest will be non trivial, and corn hasn't visually suffered much.

I bet the right person would love to build you a tiny machine for that. Maybe a college with an engineering department looking for a challenge. I love the pics
