Beresford, SD | 40 acres of forage sorghum to chop after first freeze. The little 6650 has chopped a tick over 750 acres for the year. Fuel, help, repairs, insurance, licenses for the trucks, cost me right at $70/acre for the year.......and that’s expensing off a 15k truck I bought at year end. $100/hr jobs........chopping your own is one for sure!......plus it’s a great time spent with friends!
