Subject: RE: Frozen crops

Starbuck Manitoba Canada
Baby Robin for the last four years August has been mostly very dry and bean have not performed very well. High 20's low mid thirties. Canola has seen the opposite in that some of the best yields ever have occurred in the last four years. As a result fewer beans were grown this year (Manitoba). Been acres ran to 2 million plus a few years ago down to about half this year. Ten - fifteen years ago beans were just coming into wide spread production. This year beans will be better in yield but low mid forties will be common some may hit fifty. Just my estimate. Not sure on the frost damage yet. I would suspect bean acres to drop even more next year.
