I was surprised it got that close.
I was expecting the fog to offer a bigger shield in a greater area.
We had a ‘light’ early freeze some years ago, everyone was worried about beans, but chin up and don’t worry....
When the combine dust settled, regular beans were fine, replanted beans were the tiniest little things you ever did see at 10bu an acre, and the corn was what really got hurt. Wet and light test weight, was the miserable crop.

I remember that. It was when dad did the harvesting for Schwartz farms. They had some land up north of the river by Fairfax. I happened to be running the combine that day and we filled 2 trucks on 160 acres. |
