South Central MN | The wording changed on E15 gas pumps at more than just Casey's around here. Seems it depends on the individual stations here what they will carry rather than what chain they are affiliated with. One used to have E85 but took it out after a few years.
Also doesn't help when auto makers list certain vehicles as flex fuel but other ones with the same engines are not... Case in point 2011 and newer Dodge Journeys. My AWD model has a black fuel cap, but similar 2WD models are listed as flex with the yellow cap. Have a newer van with the same engine, same HP rating, also carries "flex fuel" sticker and cap. Looked into it, from the Journey I have to the van the engine design was never changed. In fact that engine was designed as "flex fuel" from the beginning.
I will say though that black cap is very generic and does not specify what to put in the tank as far as gasoline or blends goes. | |
