Subject: RE: E15 in E10 pumps?

East Troy, WI

Government fixing what government broke. This whole BS regarding approved blend stock for certain pump equipment is a complete farce and was probably in illegal and potentially under the table payment made by the oil industry back in 2008 to the underwriters laboratory. The UL is empowered by blind obedience to the US fire Marshals who have absolutely no technical or empiric experimental background to make these types of recommendations. if you want to know where a fair amount of your check off dollars has gone recently, it's been to the gas station pump manufacturers in another Payola scheme. It's downright extortion. Also, regarding air quality and ethanol percentage the actual Sweet spot regarding emissions is somewhere around e25/e30 from evaporative head loss as well as the ability of any non-flex fuel to compensate for long-term fuel trim. This is a step in the right direction fixing what has to be the most textbook example of regulatory capture.
