NW IA | Frustrating, but you mention 60 days of age, at that point I would go fresh water twice a day and cold turkey 'em off the milk replacer.
I have had an issue in the past where I tried 20% starter since the feed company had data on better performance and consumption in trials. But the mill I got them from sold a lot more 18% and the calves went for it when given a choice. Just fresher due to speed of turn-over.
I also tried what looked like high quality starter from another source, but the babies weren't buying it. Concluded that although the feed looked good it was stale from less frequent turnover. | |
