The 2 breeds complement each other real well. Simmental improves yield grade and ribeye without hurting marbling that much. And then there's the heterosis factor which everyone knows works for their hybred seed corn. With the availability of black Simmental bulls, you're not fighting color and calves are more likely to qualify for CAB. I can't think of any negatives.
