When Dad and I settled on the tub and alleyway layout 30 years ago he wanted to just concrete under the chute, alleyway and tub. I told him I'd be damned if I was gonna stand in a mudhole and try to work cattle while they were on concrete. We poured a pad for the whole works to set on.
