We have two quarters side by side. One is 000 rr1 beans (2400 heat unit) the other is a ngmo bean slightly longer season maybe 2500 heat unit. Planted same day emerged same day. 12 inch row 175k plants.

We had two hours of 32 degrees. Very little frost just top of the pickup truck roofs.

The rr1s show almost no frost damage the ngmos have the top canopy smoked off.

We have been growing the rr1s up north here for several years, the ngmos are from a couple hundred miles south.

I think the variety has alot to do with it when it comes to frost tolerance.
