Driftless SW Wisconsin

bleedgreen720 - 9/12/2020 00:32 I see you have an Andersen. How do you like it ? I tried one it worked great except for pushing the bale and not wrapping at full speed leaving a big gap that wasnt covered. Other than that it was a nice machine I thought. Does yours have the photo eyes so it can auto steer ? Is that a must have feature?

I don’t follow your”pushing the bale and not wrapping at full speed” comment. Mine will wrap fast enough even just using 2 of 4 rolls to get 10+ layers (3”) overlap if I want to. Sounds like you weren’t following the startup instructions and an early bale rolled down the ramp. You need a couple bales to push against. There is a learning curve to using an in-line wrapper! Follow the instructions carefully for settings and startup.

auto guidance is not a must. You can steer it either manually with a helper on the ground or manually with the remote as all first tubes must be.  I ordered with the auto guidance because I want as completely automatic system as I could get as I have no help at all making hay. keeping the 2nd and 3rd tubes A consistent 1 meter apart saves space and makes the tube easier to open.
