| I have spent my life selling when everyone else is buying and visa-versa.
In March I bought airline stocks, Cat, John Deere, cruise lines, Apple, gambling stocks, (Winn, MGM) and Winnibego, and thor industries, all way off their highs.
To date we are up about 40%. Last week I sold my Apple , De, Cat, Winnabego, thor, locking in profits of 70% to over 200% on a couple.
The cruise lines are starting to come even, or some up a few percent, the airlines are the same, but all have a long way to go, over the next couple years.
My strategy to be a contrarian has usually worked out. However there was that 1000 shares of GM, that I bought, feeling sure the government wouldn't let them go bankrupt.
And so it goes.
