Curiously when I attempted to process just that troublesome file on my office computer I had a problem also, but an error log file was apparently created on the office machine
In both cases, the process appears to start properly but then "hangs" at the point where the progress bar graph is shown.
On the office machine (running SMS 6.0 where the home machine is 6.2), I received a message indicating that an error log file was created. I don't remember seeing that message on the home machine. I wasn't able to find and examine this error log file although I'm sure its there somewhere.
I don't know that copying the files to the hard drive speeds up the loading process. I just do this out of habit. I have a folder on the hard drive named Insight 2006 with subfolders below it for the various times of the year.
Since I use the Insight in many situations throughout the year, this helps me keep the files somewhat organized. I burn a CD of these files occasionally also. |
