I of the opinion that a grinder mixer is made to grind grain and add supplements at the back of the mixing tank. I used to have a NH 355 grinder mixer and when I was feeding calves I grind ear corn. I did add some oat hay to the ear corn one year when I was about to run out of corn to make it go a little farther till I got them sold. It was slow work with square bales, one block at a time.
