NC Iowa

In doing the plots every year and not treating it like a plot (gets the same fertlizer as everything else)  there are corns that will show they require more N.  There was one this year that showed up, it could have had another 20 lbs by the look of it.  But it has been around for a couple years and is always very good, so I doubt it will be off in yield, just the way it is.

As others have stated above, typically pioneer corn has better staygreen and will often be the "prettier" corn, so your statement flies opposite of that.  If you came on here and said one hybrid of brand x looks terrible, you wouldn't have got much flack.  When you come on and say all of one of the largest seed companies in the world corn looks like crap its a bit far fetched.  There is no way all pioneer looks bad, and every other brand looks perfect in the exact same management, that is just to far fetched.  If you want to get technical you need varieties and lot numbers and compare.  I hope you have taken this to a DSM for validation, they have the resources to research the case and figure something out.
