Well now are we talking silage corn that probably struggles with compaction from spring manure? I myself like the pioneer silage and know there tons of it in my neighborhood did you see the conditions they were planted in. Seems "here" this spring the dust was blowing behind the planter but conditions under that top inch were much different. You know if I walk a field and have my mind set on how great it looks it looks really good. If I walk a field thinking it sucks from the moment I open the truck door well it doesn't look very good.
