This is not the normal problem around here, but two of the last three years we have had timely rains for the beans to get pretty tall. I have to keep the population north of 170K or I might not pay the bills in a normal rain year. last year I tried 160K and it didnt turn out so great. Is there any way to limit the height of the plants? I prefer to stick with 15 inch rows, as 30 inch rows seem to really hurt my weed suppression. I planted E3 beans this year, and am excited to see how they are going to do, but the 5+ inches of rain we got last night and prob 60 mph winds has lodged some of them. I want to try to promote bushing more, instead of height.. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure readers are going to say the same thing but your populations are too high It's got to be really poor ground before anything over 140,000 starts to make money around here. Better the ground is the less you plant. My 90,000 population beans are standing great, neighbors 120s are all laying down.
